Connor Taras is running to bring a fresh energetic voice to Queen’s Park and represent a new generation. With a proven track record of achievement in sport, business, and advocacy, he is dedicated to creating meaningful change for Toronto-Danforth.
A Pan American Games medalist, Connor represented Canada as a high-performance athlete on the international stage. Here he used his platform as an 2SLGBTQI+ athlete to champion and advocate for inclusion in sport.
Professionally, Connor has built a career focused on creating opportunities for others. As former Vice President of Business Development and a MBA graduate from Queen’s University, he led workforce and skills initiatives, preparing Ontarians for meaningful jobs in the energy and technology sectors.
Right now, too many Ontarians are struggling to get ahead. Housing is out of reach, jobs feel unstable, and healthcare is increasingly harder to access. That’s why Connor is running - he believes in a future where everyone, especially young people, can achieve their dreams—without being held back by affordability or lack of opportunity.
As Toronto-Danforth's Ontario Liberal candidate, Connor is committed to delivering real solutions issues such as affordable housing, good jobs, better public healthcare, an education system that supports our next generation, supporting a made-in-Ontario climate plan and a renewed focus on our sports and recreations infrastructure.
Connor is ready to fight for you and a better, fairer future where no one is left behind.
